After six months, three cities and hundreds of fire hydrant problems, I took my findings to the state's rating bureau. They urge cities and counties get their hydrants working, but if they don't, there's no one really holding the departments accountable. My digging continues as I put pressure on area chiefs to get something done.

New Post: My Debut on the Competition
Check out my debut on the competition. I was part of a "celebrity" ice cream scooping contest this weekend at the Jackson zoo. Channel 3, the NBC station here interviewed me as someone trying to knock of their anchor, the defending champ in the contest. After months of hard work, Mississippi's budget deadline has come and gone. Lawmakers passed a nearly $6 billion spending plan, funding every state agency expect a few minor details. It's a relief, but it's not over yet.
